IT Service Delivery Consultant / Ops (Financial Services)

Global market leader in the financial services vendor (Asset Management / Front Office) space are looking to hire multiple Service Delivery Consultants to support blue chip client Asset Managers / Investment Banks in the Asia Pacific & Global time zones.

The GIG 2 days will be the same! So what will your week look like?

  • Initial challenges will be to 'get to grips' with a highly sophisticated / complex vendor system, while helping upskilling on the systems / procedures of each client.
  • Solving various client issues ie. system crashes or portfolio/performance calcs
  • Why?..could be the configuration is wrong, or a bug in the system, or the figures (fin instruments) in the system doesn't match the Bloomberg terminal) etc etc
  • Oh no...''my system isn't replicating (error login / bugs etc)'''ll troubleshoot to resolve any obvious errors or root cause &/or raise a ticket with the newly formed dev / production support teams
  • Support spikes - usually just after an upgrade or post implementation
  • Skilled senior professional working in global organization. Participating in a 24x7 FTS model; and is flexible to provide after-hours support.
  • You'll be the key contact for some clients re production support & consultancy and help manage the relationship.
  • You'll be giving customers sound advice & propose ad-hoc solutions within the framework of the vendor system. Not on day 1 don't worry!
  • Maintain close contact and communicate errors & enhancement requests with local / offshore teams &/or colleagues
  • Lead small projects or contributes/influences projects of moderate size and scope through substantial contributions to project framing, often with moderately complex interfaces to other disciplines
  • You'll be trained and mentored to become a specialist in one core functional business area, as well as a secondary if you're super keen
More Essential
1. Confident communicator (including active listening) while demonstrating effective interpersonal skills eg. Teamwork and you're best described as ''inclusive, collaborative, helpful''.
2. Strong knowledge of MS Windows Server (infrastructure minded)
3. Hands on with Linux/Unix - bit of VM / more server action.
4. DB knowledge with both Oracle and SQL
5. Powershell/Shell scripting for that all encompassing automation / problem solving side of things.
6. Knowledge of Citrix Winframe.
7. Excellent analytical skills and you are used to working in a structured way.
8. Good at juggling. Not like in the circus but multitasking across different clients/tasks at any one time.
9. Service-minded (IT support) and while thriving under pressure (''what pressure'' I hear you say ;-)
10. A degree in computer science.

Nice to haves
11. Knowledge working with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred) or AWS
Experience with Dimension (bonus points here!)
13. Knowledge / hands on experience with Remedy Force, Jira, ServiceNow
14. ITIL v3/v4 Certified
Experience within asset management, insurance, superannuation funds, funds management*

*this role is better suited for someone with good funds mgt / financial markets business knowledge who perhaps work for technology vendors &/or provide the link between tech & the business internally at fund mgrs / investment banks. It is similar to a Support / Functional Consultant / BA role.

This role is not purely helpdesk or production support (tech), it is working with a vendor system of which you'll be fully trained in upon joining.
