OVERVIEW
Global market leader in the financial services vendor (Asset
Management / Front Office) space are looking to hire
a
C# Support/ Developer to support blue
chip client Asset Managers / Investment Banks in the APAC &
Global time zones.
These roles are best suited to seasoned
C# Application Support Developers (desktop
not
web) working in Financial Services
for a technology product vendor who wants to work for the clear
market leader and who aspires to become
a
business domain expert whilst
supporting & interacting with business users in the ever
growing
Asset Management
and
Front Office industry!
KEY DELIVERABLES &
estimated weightings
Initial challenges will be to to
'get to
grips' with a highly sophisticated / complex vendor
system & familiarise yourself with the code and learn the
business aspect coupled with up-skilling on our clients product
suite in the
Asset Management
/ Front Office Domain.
1. Debugging
C# code,
coding suitable fixes for crashes and erroneous code (includes
regional support from head office)
2. Investigating
performance
issues raised by clients in relation
to
C# modules & resolving these
issues to prevent system failures.
3.
Replicating
issues observed by clients in internal installations
(for debugging/analysis purposes etc)
4. Dealing
directly
with product support, clients onsite, via phone,
WebEx etc.
ABOUT YOU
1. 2-5 years+ of
C# .NET
experience including
Winforms,
WPF &
WCF
2. Experience supporting desktop
and web applications
3. Experience using
Entity
Framework (or comparable DB framework) i.e. you understand
the concept of the framework & how to create a data model and
use it in the code to load or update data.
4. SQL (PL/SQL -Oracle preferred) experience
eg to root cause error logs.
5. Proven tracing and debugging skills
(having used
common debugging
tools) eg
Visual Studio, VS Code & *dottrace
(*nice to
have)
6. Able and willing to read,
understand and analyse complex code
7. Excellent
analytical and
problem-solving
skills with solution focused results whilst understanding
customer specific requirements
8. Proven ability to take
full
ownership for assigned tasks ensuring all measures are
taken to deliver superior results
9. Strong autonomous and
decision-making capability
10. Ability to work through and
solve complex system problems
11. Able to develop and foster great
relationships with a variety of stakeholders eg
internal, external including corporate client base.
12. Willingness to learn the financial domain ie
corporate actions, wealth management & financial market
instruments in order to better service the client base.
